Rochelle began practicing yoga consistently 17 years ago. She fell in love with the practice, how it strengthened her, both mind and body. She began teaching in March of 2015 and was certified as a RYT200 shortly after. Committed to connecting with her students and melding different yoga practices to create flows that will challenge them and keep them engaged and present. She loves to crank the heat and the volume and add, “just one more flow.”
She is also Yin Yoga and Primal Flow Yoga certified. But believes the best training any yogi can receive is to be a student, on their mat, learning, breathing and flowing.

Jen's love for exercise and fitness started around the age of 13 when practiced step aerobics and Jazzercise with her mom. Running and weight training became her favorite forms of working out (She even competed in a body building competition once). Jen tried my first yoga class 7 years ago and instantly found a new favorite way to exercise. As she practiced yoga she discovered that it was so much more than a workout. She describes the practice of connecting mind, body and spirit as magical. Jen has been teaching for two years and her favorite class to teach is Yoga/Hiit. She is inspired to motivate our students and encourage them to push to be their best!

Ellie started her journey into the world of yoga over a decade ago at the age of 18. Initially seeking a new form of fitness, later to discover an entire new way of not only looking at life but living it. In 2013 she ventured into the teaching realm, when she completed her teacher training program through The Yoga Room. Since then she has completed many more certifications, such as a yin and holistic health coach certification as well as an in depth anatomy program to further understand the body and movement. Her teaching journey lead her to La Sierra University where she taught yoga for four years. Private lessons and substitute positions eventually lead her to receiving a regular teaching position at The Yoga Room. Throughout her teaching career, she has honed her skills and style to create yoga classes that consist of a balance of physical and mental practice. Compassion and grace for oneself as a baseline, combined with an approachable full body routine, a lighthearted sense of humor, and some pretty fun playlists is what you can expect from this yogi!

Lisa attended her first class (Power Vinyasa Yoga) in 2009 at The Yoga Room, and has been hooked ever since! She was initially drawn to yoga for the fitness aspect of it, but she also enjoyed the opportunity to be present on her mat. She practiced in the back corner of the yoga studio for almost a year before realizing that yoga was not about comparing herself to others. Lisa strongly believes that yoga is not about advanced poses, but instead about moving the body, and learning to stay present and connected to your breath. In 2015, Lisa completed her 200hr RYT Holistic Yoga Flow Teacher Training with Travis Eliot and Daniel Head. She also studied in Vancouver, Canada to become a 50-hour certified yin yoga instructor under Bernie Clark.
In her classes, Lisa creates a safe atmosphere where students will learn the benefits of yoga, incorporating yoga asana (postures), proper yogic breathing, and will focus on synchronizing breath with movement. Lisa believes strongly in the benefits of bridging the gap between yoga and other movement modalities. In her classes, students will awaken their strength, energy, and flexibility in an instructional and fun atmosphere. Lisa’s intention is to lead students to find the overall benefits of a daily yoga practice in a way that feels completely natural and accessible. Her passion as a life-long learner leads her to seek new understandings in movement science and cultivating overall health – mind, body and spirit.
Lisa has taught elementary education for 26 years, and is currently a Reading Specialist in Yucaipa, CA. She lives in Redlands with her husband and has three children. She enjoys volunteering in the community and has served on the board of directors for the Executive Board of Trustees for Kimberly Juniors, the Associates of the Redlands Bowl, and the Redlands Bowl Performing Arts (formally the Redlands Community Music Association).
Lisa will always be a yoga student FIRST. Her passion as a life-long learner leads her seek new yoga understandings and knowledge by taking classes from other yoga instructors across California and beyond.
